Academic Projects:
This section showcases my academic work completed throughout my nursing program, highlighting my growth in clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, and professional development as a nursing student. The included projects, such as my Evidence-Based Practice Project and Teaching Project, demonstrate my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world clinical scenarios and patient education.

Teaching Project:
My teaching project was created in collaboration with my classmates and focused on hospital-acquired pressure injuries, a persistent challenge in healthcare settings. We conducted in-depth research on key contributing factors, including immobility, poor nutrition, and other patient risk factors. We also examined evidence-based interventions and prevention strategies aimed at reducing the occurrence of pressure injuries and promoting improved patient care outcomes.
Evidence-Based Practice Project:
My Evidence-Based Practice project was completed in collaboration with my classmates and focused on the role of nursing in addressing adolescent obesity within the school setting. We explored how nurses can influence health outcomes through education, early intervention, and ongoing support. Additionally, we examined how parental knowledge of nutrition impacts obesity rates in adolescents.
Through in-depth research using current scholarly sources and clinical guidelines, we analyzed the contributing factors to adolescent obesity and identified evidence-based strategies to promote healthier lifestyles. These strategies included patient and family education, early risk assessment, and school-based health initiatives. This project strengthened my skills in critical thinking, research analysis, and teamwork, while reinforcing the importance of evidence-based practice in improving patient outcomes. It also enhanced my understanding of the nurse’s role in health promotion and disease prevention, which I will carry forward into my nursing practice.
